It's hard to see progress in real time, especially when there isn't any. This well-meaning climate march in 2017 seemed to be filled with optimism. Smiling faces and energetic marches. But, the climate crisis has only escalated since then. Marches won't reverse the earth's temperature. But, changing our own daily behavior can. There is an action we can all take 3 times a day to drastically lower our climate footprint. According to a new Oxford University study, heavy meat eaters (most Americans) can reduce their greenhouse gas emissions footprint by a whopping 75% just by switching to a plant-based diet. If we all did that, we could start to reverse the earth's temperatures immediately. Food for thought! It's usually a process, not an instant transformation. But, it's time we all got on that journey so we can continue to have a livable planet.
