Four horses died during the 3-day 2023 Grand National event, called Britain's most dangerous horse race due to its numerous high fences, a veritable obstacle course for horses. The Animal Rising protesters who swarmed the race course in a nonviolent protest against abusing animals for entertainment were violently tackled by police. In this video, the protesters describe in detail how they were physically hurt and taunted with profane insults by uniformed British police officers. About 300 animal rights activists took part in the Animal Rising action with 118 of them arrested.
