Condemned by many rabbis and members of the Jewish faith, this is a highly controversial religious ceremony by some ultra-Orthodox Jews that involves the slaughter of chickens. Many rabbis have joined together to urge the use of coins instead of live animals in the ritual aimed to atone for sins. Many of those leading the protests against this practice are Jewish and urge an end to these bloody and cruel rituals. "Kapparot is not consistent with Jewish teachings and law.
