National Animal Rights Day is serious business. But, comic journalist Jamie Logan can't help but bring a fun, and even mischievous, vibe to the proceedings... to make a vital point. This yearly event is held in more than 100 cities around the world to honor the BILLIONS of innocent animals killed by humans every year, mostly to eat, but also to wear and exploit for cruel and unnecessary so-called "science" and "entertainment." In each city, National Animal Rights Day (NARD) gathers animal lovers for marches, speeches, a funeral of sorts, and then a joyous wake. UnchainedTV did a short documentary on the founder of NARD, Aylam Orian, an actor and animal activist, who revealed the stunning and heartbreaking reason he has devoted his life to this commemoration. You can watch that 13-minute film here:
