What becomes visible when you see industrial animal agriculture from the air?
This aerial investigation takes viewers over rural Texas, where enormous dairy and poultry operations can be difficult to comprehend from the ground. From above, the scale comes into focus: sprawling facilities, rows of buildings, massive waste lagoons, and operations capable of confining tens of thousands of animals.
Along the way, the investigators explain how they identify facilities using public tools and maps, what they look for from the air, and what these operations reveal about the lives of animals kept largely out of public view. The footage includes dairy facilities where calves are separated from their mothers, large-scale waste areas, and poultry operations housing vast numbers of birds.
But the investigation is also a call to action. The speakers encourage viewers to document what is happening in their own communities, share what they find, and use the tools available to make animal agriculture more visible. Their message is simple: when so much of this system operates behind closed doors, witnessing and documenting it can be a powerful first step toward change.
