Most of the plastic in the ocean is not from straws. It's actually from the fishing industry. That's just one of the facts floating to the surface in this episode of PETA's Just So You Know podcast starring The Next Girl star Jamie Logan and Grand Hotel star Justina Adorno. Their chat is super-casual, but these two lasses have their facts straight. So, kick your feet up, toss that plastic whatever in your recycle bin and get ready to learn how, together, we can rid the world of this horrifically destructive material that is literally getting into fish and into our bodies. Another reasons to go plant-based people. While organic compounds break down, plastic just keeps breaking up into smaller and smaller pieces, much of it eventually becoming microplastic, much of that too small to be visible to the human eye. Oh, and if you think leather is plastic-free, think again. Leather is a highly processed product that involves the use of chemicals and, frequently, plastic. Check it out.
