Lemon Shooter
Ingredients:
Juice of 1 whole lemon (approximately 2-3 tablespoons)
Instructions:
Squeeze an entire lemon using a lemon squeezer
Drink as a shot in one go
Benefits: Promotes glowing complexion, helps with collagen production, accelerates cell turnover, flushes toxins, provides vitamin C, and creates an alkaline state in your stomach
Enhanced Lemon Drink
Ingredients:
Juice of 1 whole lemon (approximately 2-3 tablespoons)
¼ teaspoon ground ginger
¼ teaspoon turmeric
Small pinch of ground peppercorn (about ⅛ teaspoon)
1 teaspoon agave nectar (adjust to taste)
8 ounces filtered spring water
Instructions:
Add ground ginger, turmeric, and peppercorn to a glass
Pour in freshly squeezed lemon juice
Add a little agave for sweetness
Fill with filtered spring water
Mix well and enjoy
Benefits: Anti-inflammatory properties help prevent cell aging and inflammation which can cause wrinkles and sagging skin. Ginger is specifically mentioned as fighting inflammation. Tastes like an energy drink but made for pennies at home.
Antioxidant Parfait
Ingredients:
½ cup plant-based yogurt with probiotics
1 tablespoon cacao powder
½ tablespoon chia seeds
2 tablespoons chopped almonds
2-3 tablespoons plant milk
¼ cup pomegranate seeds
½ cup blueberries
½ banana, sliced
¼ cup papaya chunks
¼ cup gluten-free, vegan granola with coconut seeds
Instructions:
In a small bowl, mix yogurt, cacao powder, chia seeds, and 1 tablespoon of the almonds
Add plant milk to achieve a thick consistency (similar to peanut butter that's not refrigerated)
Layer in a glass: start with 2 tablespoons pomegranate seeds, then 1 tablespoon almonds
Add ⅓ of the yogurt mixture
Add ¼ cup blueberries
Add another ⅓ of the yogurt mixture
Add banana and papaya chunks
Add remaining yogurt mixture
Top with granola and remaining fruit
Optional: Chill in refrigerator to firm up the consistency
Benefits: Packed with antioxidants, good for skin, hair, and nails. The probiotics from yogurt combined with prebiotics from fruits help heal the gut. Lindsay emphasizes "healthy gut, beautiful, radiant face." The protein from nuts helps build collagen.
Super Energy Antioxidant Smoothie
Ingredients:
1½ teaspoons chopped almonds
2 tablespoons pomegranate seeds
¼ cup blueberries
1½ tablespoons granola with coconut
1½ tablespoons almond butter
¼ cup papaya chunks
½ banana
1 tablespoon cacao powder
1 tablespoon chia seeds
1 cup plant-based milk (almond, oat, cashew, rice, etc.)
Optional: 3-4 ice cubes for a thicker consistency
Instructions:
Add all ingredients to a blender
Blend until smooth, about 30-45 seconds
Optional: Do the "blender dance" while it's blending for extra exercise!
Pour into a glass and enjoy immediately
