Wet Market Protest
Their Turn • 2m 20s
In the wake of the global pandemic there is a new focus on wet markets, retail slaughterhouses where animals are purchased and killed on the spot. While the source of the COVID-19 catastrophe has not been officially determined, a likely source - some would say the most likely source - is a wet market in Wuhan, China, where wild and domestic animals and their excrement, blood, urine and body parts co-mingle. But, did you know that there are about 100 wet markets in New York City alone? TheirTurn journalist Donny Moss looks into this issue and follows a NYC protest march against all slaughter markets. Any wet market is invited on to respond at any time. We'd love to dialogue. For more: TheirTurn.net
