Alena Couldn't Send Her Friend Gizmo to Slaughter

We all know the names of the farm programs that teach children to raise and fall in love with a farmed animal and then betray them by sending them off to slaughter. Rowdy Girl Sanctuary, and most other sanctuaries around the United States are constantly inundated with calls from distraught children and their anxious parents because the child, correctly, sees the hypocrisy of raising a sentient being as a friend, and even a family member, and then saying.. off you go to the slaughterhouse. Alena begged the Rowdy Girl Sanctuary to save her beloved pig Gizmo and, of course, Renee King-Sonnen took Gizmo in. Renee also asked Alena to explain her thoughts and feelings about programs that routinely torment children who are, by nature, compassionate unless and until hardened by society which tries to condition them into dispassion and callousness. Alena is heroic for her fierce determination to remain kind and for her brilliant explanation of why that is the morally correct path.
