The superstar is so upset over what's happening to Billy at the LA Zoo that she's put her famous name out there in a bid to get this elephant freed from the LA Zoo and sent to a sanctuary. Billy has languished at the LA Zoo for more than 3 decades! Despite legal actions and persistent protests, the LA Zoo has refused to budge and will not release the animal, arguing he's doing fine. After a long legal battle to get Billy's medical records, critics of the zoo say the documents show Billy is experiencing mental and physical suffering and point to evidence of stereotypic behavior in the form of continuous rocking, which is documented on video.
