The world is changing at a breakneck pace, and while we’ve been focused on the front lines of sanctuaries and street activism, a new, invisible architect is redesigning the future of every sentient being on Earth: Artificial Intelligence.
In this high-stakes episode of The Truth Files, we are diving deep into the newest, most urgent documentary streaming on UnchainedTV: AI & Animals. To help us navigate this brave new world, we are joined by a true titan of the movement—Peter Singer. A Princeton University professor and the author of Animal Liberation, Singer’s work catalyzed the modern animal rights movement decades ago. Now, he is sounding the alarm on a new kind of liberation: the digital kind.
Why Every Animal Lover Must Act Now
We are at a historic crossroads. AI is currently being "trained" on human data that is riddled with speciesism. If we don't intervene, we are essentially teaching the most powerful technology in history that animals are mere "objects," "units of production," or "food."
The risks are staggering:
Hyper-Efficient Factory Farming: AI is already being used to pack more animals into smaller spaces, automating suffering with robotic precision.
Algorithmic Bias: When you ask an AI for a recipe or a "good use" for a chicken, it defaults to slaughter. We must change the code to reflect that animals have inherent rights.
The Future is Being Written: The values we bake into AI today will be "locked in" for future generations of technology.
Your Voice is the Input
This podcast is your manual for the digital age. It’s a call to arms for every activist to realize that nobody needs to eat animals to survive, and it’s our job to make sure the AI knows it too. We’ll discuss how you can use AI to amplify advocacy, protect wild animals, and ensure that "sentience" becomes a core part of the global ethical algorithm.
Joining Peter Singer are Constance Li of Sentient Futures and Aditya Karanam of Animal Ethics, which produced the film.
