Why Not Me? Why not, indeed? Why is that people who love their dogs and cats are so indifferent to the suffering of other species, particularly those species, like cows, pigs, chickens and turkeys, that people are conditioned to eat. In this video, singer/songwriter Trevor Justice asks the really hard question: why the double standard? Why the lack of compassion towards animals who have the capacity to feel just as much pain and suffering as any dog, cat or - frankly - human. We are all equal in our capacity to feel pain. This video is short but shocking. Let's hope - if you dare to watch it- it will shock you into compassion for all beings and make eating them so distasteful, that you stop doing it.
