One of them was a law enforcement officer who was asked whether he interacted with the animals at the slaughterhouse while investigating Zoe’s alleged crime—rescuing four chickens she said were visibly sick and suffering from a transport truck. The officer admitted he did not investigate the facility for potential animal cruelty—even though Zoe says she repeatedly urged authorities to look into what she claims is criminal animal cruelty including boiling chickens alive.
