In Episode 3 of Kale Krew, watch our stars, Nemanja and Tamika, flip over Spirit Elephant, in Winnetka, Illinois, just outside of Chicago, as they get to sample the restaurant's sumptuous summer menu. The dishes are almost too gorgeous to eat... almost. The only thing that surpasses their beauty is their taste! This vegan restaurant is stylishly decorated with a sophisticated look that screams date night and a menu that makes you want to try everything on it.. which Nemanja and Tamika pretty much did after chatting with owner CD Young about why she named her restaurant Spirit Elephant. There's a number of good reasons. Watch to find out.
Among the many menu highlights: mushroom calamari, roasted pear and feta pizza, zucchini pasta with pesto, chick'n lettuce wraps and mock tuna salad that is impossible to distinguish from actual tuna. The mocktails are also a delight including: Catch A Wave and The Bridgerton. Everything is 100% plant-based and deliciously proves that any dish can be made vegan.
