Songwriting began as an emotional outlet for Australian musician Jemima, but quickly became an insatiable desire to tell stories that mean something. Her debut EP, Things I Never Said, is a fine example of this. The confessional five-track EP (released September 12, 2020) debuted at #1 on the iTunes singer-songwriter albums chart for Australia.

Her folk-pop ballad called “Patient” reached #2 on the same chart. It explores the intricacies of mental health. As such, 100% of the song’s earnings were donated to the Black Dog Institute during the first three months of release. Jemima is a talented singer/songwriter and also a compassionate vegan who uses her writing skills to pound out brilliant articles for the top vegan news site PlantBasedNews.org. Wow!

While living in Australia, Jemima spent eight months living and volunteering on a vegan farm animal sanctuary in Byron Bay. This is where she wrote most of the EP and recorded it at a nearby studio in the rainforest.
