1st EVER LA Climate Week
9m 1s
The first-ever Los Angeles Climate Week was action-packed! From downtown LA to Santa Monica Beach, from West Hollywood to East Hollywood, it was one sustainable event after another. And, the opening and the closing ceremonies were 100% plant-based as were most of the events in between. From a sustainable fashion show, to a march on the beach, from a West Hollywood town hall to a Culver City art exhibit, the theme was walking the walk not just talking the talk when it comes to reversing the escalating climate catastrophe. That's why there was an emphasis on reducing fossil fuels AND transitioning to plant-based food. A recent Oxford University study showed that heavy meat-eaters can reduce their greenhouse gas emissions footprint by 75% by switching to a plant-based diet. That study was reported in the New York Times here:
