Welcome to Day 10 of the March to Abolish Animal Testing! After stepping out of Canastota this morning and sharing inspiring conversations with locals along the route—including a heartwarming chat with a resident petting the beagle Jane—marchers conquered another 14 miles. Today’s trek brings the grassroots community closer to the Old Erie Canal State Historic Park, keeping the momentum alive.

There’s also breaking news as Kindness Ranch Animal Sanctuary has just published on its Facebook page that is has entered into a “public long-term agreement with Marshall BioResources to receive beagles, and potentially other animals, from their facility.” What does this mean? How many animals of the many thousands confined inside, are we talking about? We’ll discuss!
Tonight, the focus shifts to community and compassion as the march edges closer to its ultimate destination: Marshall BioResources in North Rose, New York. This facility confines an estimated 16,000 to 20,000 beagles, alongside ferrets and other animals, destined for painful laboratory experiments.

To honor these animals, Buffalo-based rapper Lord Waya—who works closely with Against All Oddz Animal Alliance—will perform his powerful song “Letters to Scotty,” written directly from the perspective of the dogs trapped inside MBR. Activists will also enjoy a special "pup cup" event featuring vegan treats sponsored by V-Dog, accompanied by special guest appearances from Sara Marie of Envigo Rescue and representatives from the Second Chance Canine Adoption Center.
