The first VegFest at UCLA was a smashing success with more than 800 visitors, mostly students! In this video you will meet the amazing young women who organized this event: Joy Huang, Harper Dunn, Chandni Sacheti and Sarahjeet Dosanjh. The event host was the one and only Badass Vegan, John Lewis! This campus VegFest was a case study in teamwork, with a bunch of organizations coming together, too many to name all. Among the key campus groups: Animal Welfare Alliance and Lives Without Knives. Additionally, The Humane League and UnchainedTV had booths at the event. New Roots Institute works with students on campus to empower them to aim high and tackle challenges like a VegFest, which they did! Additionally, food trucks, including Word of Mouth, Plant Lab and Noods, offered fabulous vegan dishes. Also on hand, students from the Alternative Proteins Project at UCLA! Among the other participants in this fabulously fun event: Nature's Wild Berry, Original Homies, Naturade, Hart House, Hasi Bread and Seven AM Coffee! Watch and feel inspired. If you are a student at another college campus or even in high school, and you want to throw a VegFest, the VegFest at UCLA students will help you do it! You can reach out here:
