Regan Russell was a statuesque figure at Animal Save vigils in Canada. The former model and one-time Mrs. Canada was an unwavering advocate for animals, often seen outside a Canadian slaughterhouse, giving water and comfort to pigs packed into trucks headed into the slaughterhouse to be killed. In June of 2020, at one such vigil, Regan was run over and killed by a truck packed with pigs heading into the slaughterhouse.
