Animal Liberation Now brings together animal advocate and philanthropist Philip Wollen and Dr. Faraz Harsini of Allied Scholars for Animal Protection (ASAP) for a powerful conversation about animal liberation, vegan advocacy, and our responsibility to act.
Wollen opens with a call to reject violence against animals and reflects on decades spent supporting animal-protection projects around the world. Harsini then shares his own journey from scientist and human-rights advocate to vegan activist, connecting animal exploitation with public health, sustainability, speciesism, and other forms of injustice.
Drawing from investigations of animal agriculture, personal experiences, and ASAP’s work on university campuses, Harsini argues that creating change requires more than simply becoming vegan—it requires people willing to speak up, organize, educate, and challenge the systems that normalize animal exploitation.
The event concludes with Wollen reflecting on the experiences that transformed his own life and Harsini presenting him with ASAP’s Animal Liberation Award in recognition of his lifetime of advocacy.
